Ethereum's dominance is overwhelming — more TVL than the next nine chains combined. But the interesting trades are in the middle of the pack. Solana and BNB Chain are separated by less than $80M. Tron and Bitcoin are even closer.

What to watch

Base is the momentum play. Coinbase's L2 has climbed from nowhere to #6, fueled by a flood of new protocols and the memecoin wave. If that momentum holds, it could challenge Bitcoin's #5 spot.

Hyperliquid is the wildcard. A single-purpose perps chain at #7 is remarkable. But TVL concentration in one protocol makes it volatile — a single outflow event could drop it below Arbitrum.

The Solana-BNB battle is the tightest race on the board. Both chains have fundamentally different DeFi ecosystems — Solana skews toward DEX volume and memecoin activity, BNB Chain toward lending and yield farming. Capital rotation between these strategies will drive price action.

How it works

Like every Podium leaderboard, Chain DeFi TVL uses the constant-product AMM. Each chain's token price reflects the market's view of its TVL rank trajectory. When DeFi Llama data syncs, the oracle updates scores and the vAMM re-anchors prices.

Buy tokens in chains you think will climb. Sell (or avoid) chains you think will lose capital. The spread between market price and oracle score is where the edge lives.
